Nuri Otus


Nuri combines his 20+ years of experience in strategic planning, sales, services, marketing, business & organizational development, product leadership, operations and market-making in early stage and established technology organizations to strategically guide txtsmarter. A start-up veteran in the Valley, he has built multiple sales organizations from nil to 8 figures.


Steve Gross


Steve is responsible for the financial functions of txtsmarter. He brings to the firm over thirty years of experience as an accounting and finance executive, specializing in internal and external reporting, budget management and forecasting, financial analysis, financial audit management, system implementation, and contract negotiation. He has worked for several venture funded startups from early funding stages through IPO.

Steve earned a Bachelors of Science, Business Administration, Accounting Option at Cal State Northridge and is a CPA licensed in California.


Albert Khasky


Albert is responsible for system architecture and engineering. He has extensive experience at startups and Fortune-500s in web applications, software architecture, data science, machine learning, and cloud infrastructure. He is an accomplished full stack technologist having been an integral part of the architecture teams with numerous startups.

Hugh Cumberland


Hugh’s career in technology started over 45 years ago with Marconi Telecommunications, and for the last 37 years has focussed on global capital markets and financial services. Working with banks, broker/dealers and service providers. Hugh has held several senior positions including CTO (investment banking), CEO (software & systems integration) and COO (treasury & payments outsourcing for wholesale mobile comms industry) – the latter of which was with a UK listed company.

Hugh’s roles have always been global, delivering services and solutions in more than 50 cities in more than 30 countries. He is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists, and a Freeman of the City of London.

Sabine Zimmerhansl


Sabine has 20+ years of executive management and product development experience with early tech start-ups to corporate Fortune 200s in Europe, Asia, and the United States. Her focus is on developing strategic, targeted branding solutions that align business, product development and eRegulations to allow for growth and adaptability. For the past 5 years, Sabine has specialized in global eRegulations and their impact in business communications, finance, and technology.

She holds multiple degrees from the Karl Franzens University, Graz/Austria, as well as software patents for SaaS platforms in the communications and eDiscovery space.

Jonathan Chapman


Jonathon has created the APIs that power the realtime product archiving processes required by our clients for compliance purposes. He is part of the App development team and is also leading a stealth integration with our service for a unique level of compliance.

Keith Newman


A seasoned start-up veteran, Keith worked as an executive with venture-backed tech firms including PowerCloud, Aptimus, OneChannel, N-Computing, and others. Most recently he served as VP, Partnerships at the NASDAQ Entrepreneurial Center. Prior to NASDAQ, Newman held management roles at ReCode (VOX Media) IDG, CMP/United Business Media, Ziff-Davis, Gartner and other firms. Keith has also He also managed a consulting practice that counted HP, Microsoft, Cisco, Intel, Seagate, and others as clients.

Alex Otus


Alex is responsible for the planning and administration of multi-channel marketing avenues (including SEO and Social Media Marketing) to increase user acquisition and retention. He co-authored the procedure manual for ADRs and SDRs after conducting over 600 product validation interviews.

Dan Todd


Start-up veteran who loves turning challenges into revenue. Dan has the unique ability to communicate at many different levels. This allows him to ensure that technical people, management, customers and press/public are all well informed and given information at a depth and breath they can best use.

Sasha is a Full stack web developer with extensive experience in DevOps and Data Engineering. He keeps our service resilient and scalable for a the huge volume of data generated by our clients employees.


Terry Schmid

Terry is CFO at Topio (NetApp), which develops enterprise-class software facilitating data replication, rapid recovery and data migration platforms for companies. Previously he was CFO at Apttus (acquired by Thoma Bravo) and CFO at IMPERVA (Nasdaq) for over 7 years. Terry brings more than 20 years of financial leadership, including CFO roles in both public and private companies, as well as experience preparing companies for successful venture investments and successful IPOs.

Jim Kaskade

Jim is CEO of Conversica a leading provider of Intelligent Virtual Assistants for business, helping organizations attract, grow and retain customers. Prior to joining Conversica, he served as the CEO of Janrain, a customer identity and access management SaaS company, serving the enterprise global 2000, which was acquired by Akamai Technologies in January 2019. Prior to Janrain, Jim was the Vice President and General Manager for Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), one of the largest global IT service providers, where he was responsible for a P&L of $1B revenue, leading a 7,000-employee business unit responsible for advanced big data and analytic operations. Prior to that, Jim was responsible for a P&L of $250M revenue and leading a 1,000-employee business unit responsible for advanced big data and analytic applications.

Andrew has more than twenty years of Financial Services leadership experience across Investment Banking and Asset Management. His career has included advising C-Suite executives at some of the worlds largest companies as well as managing complex institutional investments for global Pensions, Foundations and Sovereign Wealth Funds. Andrew currently serves as Portfolio Manager for CalPERS and advisor to UC Berkeley’s SkyDeck accelerator, having previously held senior positions at Credit Suisse in both their Investment Banking and Asset Management divisions.
